The judicial committee reached the conclusion of the defendant being not guilty, and the procuratorate withdrew the accusation and made the decision of no filing of indictment after discussed by the prosecution committee. The People’s Court Daily made a full-page report on this case on August 14, 2006
• The intentional homicide case of Zhang Chaofeng who was finally convicted as conducting the crime of intentional infliction of bodily injury resulting in a person's death, with a lesser punishment of 10 years imprisonment
