On November 22, 2007, 7 members of “Leeds Legal” Hangzhou Delegation from the UK visited the Firm.

Leeds Legal is the first city-based legal marketing campaign in the UK for promoting the high levels of service, expertise, non-nonsense advice and value for money service provided by the city’s law firms. The delegation was led by the founding Chair of the team Mr. Alan Baker, and joined by partners and lawyers of well-known law firms of the UK and Leeds City. The representative of China-Britain Business Council, Hangzhou Representative Office accompanied the guests during the visit. Members of the International Trade & Investment Department of the Firm held a friendly meeting with the delegation.

Senior Partner of the Firm, Head of the International Trade & Investment Department Lawyer Cui Haiyan presented the warm welcome to the guests on behalf of all the members of the Firm and introduced the development of the Firm and the International Trade & Investment Department. The members of the delegation introduced the profile of Leeds Legal, the purpose for this visit, their respective team and personal practicing experience, and expressed the willingness for cooperation. The Delegation commended the development scale and speed of the Firm and the Department. The two sides exchanged views on the communication and cooperation between Hangzhou and Leeds.

It is believed that there must be further great opportunities for cooperation between UK and Chinese lawyers under the developing prospect of UK-China economic linkage.
