Recently, The Arbitral Tribunal reached an award in a construction project contract dispute after four and a half years. Most claims we asserted for our client were supported.

      This construction contract dispute between a construction company in Zhejiang and a hydropower development company in Sichuan.The case, represented by Lawyer Wang Quanming and other lawyers, was ruled by the China international economic and trade arbitration commission Shanghai branch. The arbitral tribunal reached the award after four and a half years since we delivered the case materials in October 2008. This case included a series of issues about construction contracts, such as effects of the contract, demand guarantee processing, arbitration clause disputes, bidding, supervision, delays, public security, electricity, communications, environmental protection, land expropriation, immigration, flood accident, subcontracted of projects etc.. The tribunal unanimously supported our assertion about the avoidance of contract and most of the other assertions on the payment amount. The award was in favor of our clients. The client recovered more than ten million yuan economic interests.
