In the afternoon of April 7 and the morning of April 10, 2007, Lawyer Zhu Zhihui and Cui Haiyan participated in the activity organized by the Hangzhou Justice Bureau to provide legal services for the NPC and CPPCC. Hangzhou Justice Bureau followed the experience of lawyers’ provision of legal services for NPC and CPPCC in Beijing and Shanghai, and the Hangzhou Lawyers Association recommended 18 outstanding lawyers to participate in the legal consultation activity. This was the first time in the history of NPC and CPPCC in Hangzhou, and it provided the uncommon opportunity and platform to stimulate Hangzhou lawyers’ initiative to involve in political affairs and better exercise the function of the lawyers.
