On February 10, 2007, the Annual Meeting i.e. the New Year Party of the Firm was held in Hangzhou Linan Qingshan Lake Resort. The meeting reviewed the history of the Firm’s establishment and the first-year practice, planed the development in the forthcoming 5 years, and commended the advanced individuals. The General Director Mr. Hu Hulin and Vice Director Mr. Wu Qiangjun of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Justice and Vice Director of Hanzhou Justice Bureau Mr. Fang Shaoqing attended the meeting.

     2006 was the starting year of Brighteous Law Firm. In the framework of specialization and teamwork, the 6 departments of Corporation & Securities, Foreign Related Legal Affairs, Construction & Real Estate, Criminal Legal Affairs, Civil Legal Affairs, and IPR Legal Affairs were set up. The firm was one of the 18 law firms with the annual income of over 10 million RMB in Zhejiang Province.

    During the meeting, Chief Director Mr. Hu Xiangfu made the report of “Setting the sail with a good opening”. The report summarized the work of the firm in 2006 from the five aspects of “elaborate preparation for the beginning- the establishment of the new firm ”, “ talents recruitment- team buid-up”, “competition for good performance – business development”, “serious study and active atmosphere- Party and League construction ”, and “ brand and image promotion- culture and brand construction”. The report was thorough and inspiring, bringing forward the development tenet of “to combine both traditional and contemporary practice scope, to develop litigation and non-litigation practice, to balance the talents with knowledge and experience, and to build a both specialty featured and fully developed comprehensive law firm”, the development guideline of “character decides quality, quality decides brand, brand decides market” , and the 5-year target of “being among the provincial top 8 and aiming at top 5 in terms of income, and becoming a leading brand law firm in China”.

Vice Director of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Justice Mr. Wu Qiangjun, General Director of Hangzhou Justice Bureau Mr. Fang Shaoqing delivered speeches in the meeting, praised the Brighteous for its distinctive achievement in the last year, and expressed their wish that the Brighteous Law Firm would develop continuously, become a provincially outstanding and nation wide noted law firm, and make attributions to the construction of “harmonious society” and “law-ruled Zhejiang”.

The meeting also praised four model staff of Wei Yongqiang, Li Binbin, Wang Yan, He Yan, the model family member Wu Fangmei, and represented the programmes performed and participated by the staff and their family members.
