Lawyer Yi graduated from Zhejiang University School of Law with University Honor Graduate recognition in July 2007. He furthered his legal education at University of East Anglia in 2007. Before interning at Brighteous in 2009, he clerked at People’s Court of Hangzhou Xihu District

 

l  Assisted Senior Partner Cui Haiyan in long-term legal counseling for many companies, including but not limited to Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang Materials Industry International, Hangzhou KFC, Zhejiang Hailiang, etc.

l  Successfully assisted a British cosmetic company in incorporating a wholly foreign-owned company in China, services of which included certificate application, review and revision of leasing contract, etc.

l  Reviewed legal documents and issued legal opinion letters for Department of Commerce of Zhejiang in a bidding project

l  Provided due-diligence investigation on a investment destination country’s business environment for a large Zhejiang enterprise

 

l  Arbitration case between an international Zhejiang corporate and a British steel group on iron ore purchase agreement dispute

l  Case on damage claim of a maritime transportation contract between a Zhejiang private decoration company and a Ukraine company

l  Case on damage claim of a maritime transportation contract between a Zhejiang chemical company and a Hongkong international transportation company
